A Broken Glass

A broken glass lay on my window sill
i watched it roll in the gentle breeze
the shifting clouds bend the light
a lonely star stood watching me ...

Moist hands on my face..
dew drops fell on my fingers..
i rose from the unmade bed..
a child standing there...

i kept her on my lap
wiped the rivers from her face..
her fingers found a hole..
my nose wriggled in pain

I searched my yellow room
found a Buddha in my bag..
she played it for hours.
a smile spread over her face..
my Buddha smiled at me...

i held her in my arms..
trickled her below the feet.
in a moment of ecstasy
she scratched my face
a drop of blood
Unwilling to fall
danced.. joy in pain

she fell on her back..
the gentle breeze
rocked her to sleep
a bead of love floated
over her face..
only to fall on her lovely dimples...

For many a nights..
i watched the broken glass
lying on my window sill
i lay awake in unmade bed..
waiting to hear her giggle...

in those moments i feel
for the scar she left in my
broken life.

Death

i drenched from sweat
unable to move my hands
fell on the cold bed.
A numbness spread on my lips
i pressed it on to the pillow.

I was sinking into depths
I did nt know its end
unable to fall to the end
i floated in the depths

The room was humid
A stench pervaded everywhere.
The smell of rotten flowers
given to thousands of deities
by thousands of men........

I could see their faces,
they had strange faces
most of them didnt have eyes
their eyes given to their deities

"He is free from this room
he is been send out.
He didnt know why he was send in
He didnt know why he is released

From one room to another
from one corner to the other
from one paradise to another
from servility to slavery.......

His friends showed happiness
a bright smile on their faces
He did nt knew why they smiled
He never smiled them back.

His papers are ready
His ticket ready n minutes
Next mornning he will be free
to another free world............"

I slowly read the note
and smiled at it
all these years i was waiting
longing
afraid i would get this note
and the moment has come

I climbed from the bed
took the razor lying there in the bin
and now i can see my diety
she is beautiful all in red
dancing with other deities
i can see red bright red
ha i can feel it
i can breathe it..............
breath
death

"when they found him
pools of blood in the room
were hiding below the bed.
stayed in those dark corners
afraid to come out of the light

and a note was sailing unfaced
in that pool
un moved and untouched by the blood
It read
"I have married Religion
love
Deity "
A present

I had send a present
she with her curved knife
Cut them into pieces
Weighed and sterilised
In Biopsy she found
cancerous cells
Cells that had outhrown
the friendly ones.

She send me in return
a mutilated corpse
out from the postmortem table
it had stuffed eyes
and coiled stomach
I seeing its death
...laughed
There was a note lying
on the corpse
"you have injected love in Friendship"
then i wept for hours.
